As a county we have a diverse range of businesses ranging from our traditional sectors of tourism and agriculture to energy and engineering businesses plus creative, media and manufacturing businesses.The Council's business support team works to provide a high standard of advice and support to businesses, individuals and other organisations. It aims to foster a successful enterprising and entrepreneurial culture within the Pembrokeshire economy. Pembrokeshire College runs a new accredited short course called Starting Your Own Business. This 10 week evening course is designed to equip budding and existing business owners with the knowledge and skills to develop their ideas. Rachael Hughes from St Florence, had already developed a tried and tested business idea, however, to grow her business she needed to attract a more corporate customer. The gap in her knowledge of how to target this group has now been fulfilled by the content of this new course.
